
Basheer Tosin Ashafa, entrepreneur and politician, joined Samiat Abolanle Bada, the executive chairman of Ikosi-Isheri LCDA, on Saturday for the inspection of newly completed developmental projects across the council.
The newly inaugurated initiatives span infrastructure, social services, and community development, reflecting the Bada administration’s ongoing push to improve living standards at the grassroots level.
Speaking during the event, Ashafa praised Samiat for what he termed her “people-oriented and impactful leadership”.
The politician stated that the council boss’ administration continues to set a benchmark in grassroots governance.

He lauded the Mayoress’ “impressive strides” in repositioning the LCDA, noting that the scope and relevance of the projects closely align with residents’ needs.
“This is what purposeful governance looks like. Princess Samiat Abolanle Bada has consistently shown vision, commitment, and a genuine passion for grassroots development,” Ashafa said.
He also called on other LCDA chairmen across Lagos state to emulate such approaches, stressing the need for leadership focused on delivering tangible benefits to the people.

“Real development begins at the local level. I urge other council leaders to emulate this model by concentrating on initiatives that directly improve the daily lives of their constituents,” he added.
Community members and stakeholders present at the inspection commended the administration for the noticeable transformation within the LCDA, expressing confidence in the continued progress.
