Agriculture and Social Services Department

The Agriculture and Social Services Department supports initiatives that promote community well-being, economic participation, and improved livelihoods across Ikosi-Isheri LCDA. The department recognises the importance of agriculture, social development, and community support in building a stronger and more resilient local economy.

Although Ikosi-Isheri is predominantly urban and semi-urban, agriculture remains an important part of the local economy, particularly through the trade and distribution of agricultural produce. The department supports efforts that connect agricultural activities, local commerce, and community development, contributing to the economic importance of markets and agricultural trade within the LCDA.

The department also supports social development initiatives that respond to the needs of residents and communities. Through community-focused programmes and engagement, it contributes to promoting social inclusion, supporting vulnerable groups, and strengthening the well-being of the people of Ikosi-Isheri.
