Mayoress Princess Samiat Abolanle Bada (MNIM) is the Executive Chairman of Ikosi-Isheri Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Lagos State. She is a public administrator, entrepreneur, and community leader whose career has been defined by a longstanding commitment to public service, grassroots development, and community engagement.

Born on 28 December 1973, she is the daughter of the late Alhaji Olatunji Raheem Bada and Chief Mrs. Afolakemi Bada (JP). She was raised with values of integrity, service, resilience, and discipline—principles that have continued to shape her approach to leadership and governance.

Educational Background

Princess Bada began her education at Moslem Primary School, Odogbolu, before proceeding to Odogbolu Grammar School. She completed her secondary education at Ajao Estate High School, Anthony Village, Lagos.

Her pursuit of academic and professional development reflects a strong commitment to lifelong learning. She obtained a Diploma in Marketing from Ogun State University (now Olabisi Onabanjo University) and later earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Geography and Planning from Lagos State University (LASU).

Driven by a passion for social development and public service, she furthered her education in Social Work, obtaining a Postgraduate Diploma during the 2012/2013 academic session and a Master’s Degree during the 2017/2018 academic session. She is currently pursuing a Doctor of Public Administration (DPA) at Lagos State University.

In September 2025, she attained the designation of Professional Manager and became a Chartered Member of the Nigerian Institute of Management (MNIM), reflecting her dedication to professional excellence and continuous development.

Professional Career

Princess Bada began her professional career at the Town Planning Office of Kosofe Local Government, where she gained experience in public administration. She subsequently trained at the Gateway Catering Institute, expanding her expertise in hospitality and business management.

She later established Predema Catering and Boutique Services, an entrepreneurial venture that demonstrated her capabilities in hospitality management and business administration.

Political Journey

Princess Bada began her political career with the Alliance for Democracy (AD), which later evolved into the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) and subsequently the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Her dedication to public service and grassroots mobilisation earned her increasing responsibilities within the party and local government administration.

She served as Vice Chairman of Ikosi-Isheri LCDA until 2014, contributing to the administration and implementation of programmes aimed at community development.

During the 2015 General Elections, she served as Director of Mobilisation for the APC Campaign Team in Lagos State. In 2017, she was again nominated as Vice Chairman of Ikosi-Isheri LCDA, continuing her service in local governance.

In 2020, Princess Bada assumed office as Executive Chairman of Ikosi-Isheri LCDA, providing leadership for the administration of the Council and the implementation of development initiatives across the community.

Following the 2021 Local Government Elections, she was elected by the people of Ikosi-Isheri LCDA to continue serving as Executive Chairman, beginning a new phase of leadership focused on community development, infrastructure, and public service delivery.

In July 2025, she was re-elected for a second consecutive term as Executive Chairman of Ikosi-Isheri LCDA, reflecting the confidence placed in her leadership by the electorate.

Following her inauguration, she was elected by her colleagues in the Conference 57 to serve as Vice Chairman for the Lagos East Senatorial District, a leadership position within the body representing Executive Chairmen across Lagos State.

Community Service

Beyond public office, Princess Bada has remained committed to humanitarian service and community development.

Through the Foundation for Improved Livelihood, she has supported initiatives aimed at assisting vulnerable members of society, promoting women’s empowerment, and improving the welfare of communities through various intervention programmes.
