MAYORESS BADA FLAGS OFF FIRST ANNIVERSARY OF HER SECOND TERM WITH OFFICIAL VEHICLE DISTRIBUTION TO RELIGIOUS BODIES, THE IYALOJA GENERAL, LASCOTA, COUNCIL OFFICIALS, AND VARIOUS COMMITTEES TO BOOST SERVICE DELIVERY

In a landmark display of visionary leadership and commitment to institutional development, the Mayoress of Ikosi-Isheri LCDA, Princess Samiat Abolanle Bada, MNIM, today flagged off the first anniversary of her second term in office with the distribution of a fleet of official vehicles and buses to strategic institutions, departments, committees, and government functionaries, strengthening service delivery across the LCDA.

The historic initiative, one of the largest logistics support programmes undertaken by the administration, reflects the Mayoress’ unwavering resolve to equip critical stakeholders with the tools required to deliver efficient, responsive, and people-centred governance.

As part of the distribution, executive buses were presented to the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), the League of Imams, and the Iyaloja General in recognition of their invaluable roles in promoting religious harmony, community development, and economic growth within Ikosi-Isheri LCDA.

To improve operational effectiveness, utility vehicles were also allocated to the Lagos State Council of Tradesmen and Artisans (LASCOTA), the Ikosi-Isheri Task Force, the Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE), the three Area Offices, Environmental Health Services, the Revenue Committee, the Market Committee, and the Street Naming Committee, further enhancing their capacity to discharge their responsibilities.

The administration also presented Sports Utility Vehicles (SUVs) to members of the Legislative Arm of the Council, the Secretary to the Local Government (SLG), the Chief of Staff, and the Greater Kosofe Coordinator-General, Renewed Hope 2027, while an additional Coaster Bus was provided to support staff mobility and improve official operations.

Speaking at the ceremony, Princess Samiat Abolanle Bada described the presentation as a strategic investment in governance rather than a ceremonial gesture, noting that effective leadership is measured not only by policies but also by providing the institutions and personnel responsible for implementing them with the resources needed to succeed.

She reaffirmed that her administration remains committed to delivering impactful projects, strengthening public institutions, and advancing inclusive development that directly improves the lives of residents.

The ceremony officially commenced activities marking the first anniversary of the Mayoress’ second term in office, setting the tone for a celebration of purposeful leadership, transformative governance, and sustained progress across Ikosi-Isheri LCDA.
